OPCOM has benefited and enjoyed professional working relationship
with our joint venture partner, Ericsson Network Technologies
AB, Sweden, which provided a platform for continuous transfer
of technology, management skills and experience as well as
product know-how. These helped strengthened our market presence
and position to becoming the leading manufacturer of fiber
optic cables and cable related accessories in Malaysia.
At OPCOM, we pride ourselves in operating the country's
only fully equipped laboratory, which conducts various cable
tests on the cable products. Our production plant is also
MS ISO 9001 : 2000 and MS ISO 14001 : 2004 certified. Since
1995, our cable products have been supplied to many telecommunications
service providers and other alternative service providers,
both locally and overseas. With a stellar track record,
OPCOM has since manufactured and supplied more than 1,274,000km
of fiber optic cables.
Our commitment was given due recognition when our subsidiary OPCOM Cables Sdn Bhd won the Selangor Industry Award under the category Selangor Product Excellence Award 2007 at an Award Ceremony Dinner held in Shah Alam on 14 December 2007. The Selangor Industry Award (AIS), initiated by the Selangor State Government, aims at giving recognition and appreciation for outstanding achievements of industries in Selangor. The award is also an added incentive given by the state government to spur these outstanding performance industries to upgrade their quality and services. The award provides winners with the competitive edge to gain recognition and acceptance in the global market. |
